Ahmedabad based poet Nikhil Parekh has bagged two more National Records in Poetry with the prestigious Limca Book of Records. The Senior Editor of Limca Book of Records has confirmed two more of his poetry claims that would be published in the 2009 edition of the Limca Book. Parekh now has fresh poetry records for “Being 1st Indian Poet to be published in McGill English Dictionary of Rhyme which is the World’s No. 1 English Rhyming Dictionary, for his poem: Come lets embrace our new religion” and for “Being 1st Indian Poet to have won Poet of Year award at Canadian Federation of Poets, Canada’s Govt. endorsed National Poetry Organization”.
With the inclusion of these two new records Parekh’s National Poetry Record tally increases to a mind-boggling ‘Five National Records in Poetry’ . His earlier three records with Limca Book include ‘Being 1st Indian Poet to win an EPPIE award for best Poetry Ebook’, ‘Being 1st Indian Poet to be published in a Commonwealth Newsletter for his poem on Aids’ and ‘Writing most number of letters to and receiving most number of replies from World Leaders and World Organizations’.
Currently 31, Poetry Aficionado Parekh embarked on his record breaking spree in 2005 and the past three years have now seen him create a staggering five Poetry Records with Limca Book. Limca Book of Records is the best record book of its kind in India highlighting the very best from more than 1.1 billion Indians. The book officially ranked only second to the Guinness Book of World Records published its 19th edition in 2008.

One of my proudest moments would be when later this year, I get my National Record Certificates from the Limca Book of Records for these new records of mine”, exclaims the poet. Parekh has composed thousands of poems on Global topics such as God, Anti Terror, World Peace, Love, Aids, Friendship, Humanity, Blindness, Global warming, Environment and Wildlife..etc. His poems have found acclaim from across the globe transcending over barriers of caste, creed, religion and color.
This prolific Indian Poet is actively involved in several World Peace projects . He holds positions which include: ‘Being a Goodwill Ambassador for the International Goodwill Treaty for World Peace’, ‘Chairing the Indian Body of the Canadian Federation of Poets’ and also ‘Heading the Indian Executive committee of the United Minds for Peace Society in India’.
